Asian Acan

Acan lords (Micromussa lordhowensis) are popular, hardy LPS corals known for vibrant, varied colors and fleshy, short-clustered polyps
Native to the Indo-Pacific, they thrive in low-to-moderate light (50–120 PAR) and gentle flow. They are often fed meaty foods to enhance growth and, while generally peaceful, can extend sweeper tentacles at night.

  • Appearance: Fleshy polyps that form colonies, often showing intense color patterns (red, green, blue, orange, yellow).
  • Lighting: Low to moderate intensity; avoid high light to prevent bleaching.
  • Flow: Gentle, indirect flow is preferred to prevent tissue damage.
  • Feeding: Highly recommended 2–3 times a week with mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, or pellets to improve growth and color.
  • Placement: Best placed on the sand bed or bottom, stable rocks.
